"Hinkson Ranch" Pueblo

 

Chaco Culture, Chaco Culture Influenced, New Mexico, constructed 950 C.E. - 1250 C.E.; located approximately 35 kilometers (22 miles) south-southwest of Zuni Pueblo. The Great Kiva (the largest known in the Chacoan world) is 34 meters (111 feet) in diameter, surrounded by a masonry wall (between 60 centimeter and 1 meter thick), was roofless and probably used as a ceremonial dance plaza.

Elevation is1890 meters (6200 feet) above sea level.

Materials: mortarless stone walls, wood log roof structure, with mud/clay roof.
