Maju Dega Temple

Nepal Hindu Culture, one of many temples, constructed in 1690 C.E., in Katmandu, Nepal, recently destroyed by earthquake. Dega style temple (not a pagoda), typical from 14th through 18th centuries.

Elevation is c. 450 meters (4277 feet) above sea level.

Materials: brick plinths and tower core; wood beams, columns, rafters, and outriggers; ceramic tile roof.
