Mireuksa Pagoda

One of two extant stone pagodas of the largest Buddhist temple of the ancient kingdom of Baekje, of the Korean Peninsula, begun in 602 C.E. by King Mu. Located in present-day Iksan, North Jeolla Province, South Korea. The twostone pagodas flanked the larger central nine-story wooden pagoda of the temple complex, which no longer exists.

Elevation is c. 75 meters (247 feet) above sea level.

Materials: Stone, mimicking older wood construction of pagodas.
