Stanton Drew

Prehistoric Neolithic and Bronze Age England; built and occupied from 3000 BCE to 2000 B.C.E., located in the village of Stanton Drew in County Somerset, southwest England; second largest stone circle in Britain (after Avebury); contains the largest complex of prehistoric standing stones in England.

Elevation is c. 43 meters (140 feet) above sea level.

Materials: earth, megalithic stones, and enormous tree trunk
