Baksei Chamkrong Shiva Temple

Khmer Culture, Angkor, Cambodia, one of the oldest Shiva Temples of Angkor, Cambodia, with evidence of Iron Age settlement at the site from 500 B.C.E., located just south of Angkor Tom; the Temple was built during the reign of Harshavarman I (910-948 C.E.).

Elevation is c. 42 meters (138 feet) above sea level.

Materials: Three base tiers of undecorated laterite, below a tower and base of fired brick with integrated stone architectural details.
