Chavín de Huántar
Chavin Culture (pre-Inca), from 1200 B.C.E. to 500 B.C.E.; located 250 km north of Lima, in the Ancash Region of Peru; in 2004 Chavin De Huantar was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Eleveation is c. 3158 meters (10,360 feet) above sea level.
