Palace of Ctesiphon (Taq Kasra)
Sassanid-era Persian culture (?), with hypothetical date of construction, 540 C.E.; this date is controversial with some researchers claiming construction as early at 2100 BCE; located near modern Salman Pak, close to Bagdad, Iraq. The archway is the largest single-span vault of unreinforced adobe brickwork in the world.
Elevation is c. 6 meters (19.69 feet) above sea level.
