Pre-Olmec Civilization, Mesoamerican Middle and Late Formative (c. 1000 B.C.E - 150 C.E.), southern shore of Lake Texcoco, in the southeastern Valley of Mexico. Preservation of the stepped pyramid was due to the covering of volcanic debris from a nearby caldera. Elevation is c. 2287 meters (7504 feet) above sea level. Materials: stone. Data for CG model: |
