Geku, Ise-Jingu Temples

Shinto Shrine, constructed in 477 C.E., in Ise, Mie Prefecture, Japan. Shimmel architectural style; beginning in 690 C.E., the Ise Temples are demolished every 20 years, and rebuilt in replica on the adjacent alternate sites.

Elevation is c. 8 meters (28 feet) above sea level.

Materials of Construction: Wood structual elements, thatch roof.
