Guachimontones

Teuchitlan Tradition Culture, ceremonial center constructed c. 300 B.C.E. to 900 C.E., located near the Mexican town of Teuchitlan, Jalisco state, west of Guadelahara, Mexico. It is interesting to note how similar the house-roof form is to that of East and Southeast Asia prototypes.

Elevation is c. 1369 meters (4491 feet) above sea level.

Materials: stone platforms and walls; thatch roofs.
