Latte House and Variations

Chamorro Culture, Island of Tinian, United States Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, in the Marianas Archipelago, Latte Era, c. 1200 C.E. (? maybe much older).

Elevation is close to sea coast.

Materials: Supporting columns (latte) are composed of local limestone base and coral hemisphere capstones; wood is used for floor beams and joists, wall columns, purlins and rafters; thatch roof.
