Miti-O-pa-e-resh (On-A-Slant Village), Mandan Culture, c. 1575 C.E., palisaded earth lodge village, located within the Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park, on the west bank of the Missouri River, south of Mandan, North Dakota. Elevation is c. 525 meters (1721 feet) above sea level. Materials: wood palisade, wood structures of lodges covered with sod, and banked with earth berm. Data for CG model: |
