Nisa (also Parthaunisa)

Parthian Culture (Early Persia, now Turkmenistan), built between 250 B.C.E. to 211 B.C.E., used by Parthian kings as the fortified government center, located near modern-day Ashgabat, Turkmenistan.

Elevation is c. 341 meters (1119 feet) above sea level.

Materials: adobe bricks covered with baked bricks laid in natural occurring bitumen; wood beams and columns.
