Panlong Cheng Palace

Chinese Longshan culture: Palace with double eaves constructed in the middle of the Shang dynasty period, c. 1600 B.C.E.–1046 B.C.E.; located in Hubei Province on the Yangtse River.

Elevation is c. 24 meters (80 feet) above sea level.

Materials of Construction: Rammed earth platform and Inner chamber walls, with outer structural elements of wood, and thatch roof. Outer shade structure preserved comfort of inner high thermal mass rooms in all seasons.
