Wholistic Health Center Proposal, Picuris Pueblo, New Mexico, 1994

A project designed for the high altitudeTiwa Pueblo village of Picuris, in Native American idiom, combining facilities for year-round gymnasium and rehabilitation and recovery center. The gymnasium contains a central basketball /pow wow court, glass covered solarium natatorium, hot tubs and sweat lodge, locker rooms, and an indoor running/walking track surrounding the central space. An outdoor swimming pool is directly accessed from the indoor solarium pool. The treatment and recovery center at the perimeter of the building contains offices, treatment rooms and group support meeting rooms.
