Tambo Colorado
Chincha and Inca Civilizations, constructed in 1490 C.E.; located inland from the south coast of Peru, in the Pisco River Valley, close to the town of Pisco. Several buildings (palaces?) surround a trapezoidal plaza. Elevation is c. 497 meters (1632 feet) above sea level. Materials: stone and adobe walls, wood roof beams and purlins, thatch roof.
