Tanimbar House

Tanibar Culture, House (as offering Temple), from Pre-Colonial times to World War II, located north-east of Timor in the South-East Moluccas. The house has two sacred "axes" with interior shrines for each. Two-to-four families lived in this traditional house form.

Elevation is close to sea coast.

Materials: wood structure, wood support piers, bamboo floor, thatch roof.
