Yanomami Chapuno

Yanomami Culture, traditional village communal house (Chapuno), still in use in the rainforests of Brazil and Venezuela after centuries.

Materials: wood columns and wood beams, tie-beams, and purlins for roof structure; thatch roof.

Elevation varies c. 152 meters (500 feet) above sea level.
